When Mercy Begets Love — 4 Comments

  1. Deut 6:5 really is Challenging verse. Reminds me of the Commandment “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me,” yet we so frequently do put (so many) things above God. It is my heart’s desire to truly love God with all my heart, soul, and might. I am thankful that He who began a good work in us will complete it. Thank you for the reminder and your faithfulness in always pointing us towards Christ.

    • I agree. Deuteronomy 6:5 is an extremely challenging verse, indeed. Thankfully, as you mentioned, we can trust God to help us achieve even this worthwhile goal.
      Thank you, Barbara!

  2. This was so wonderful! I makes me want to live Him like that, and feel His love for me. I tend to be like the grumbling Israelites who wander in the dessert and do not see the blessings they have. I have a tendency to only see lack or what I think I need instead of all He has given me. My selfish nature even comes out in wanting to live Him more, so I CAN experience the love He has for me. Sanctification is so slow and hard. I want to simply delight in Him without selfish ambition .
