Jesus Could Have Said “Not Your Will, But Mine” — 3 Comments

  1. I’m so glad Jesus chose to go to the cross for all our sins, because He loves us so much, even though He knew the suffering He would have to endure for us! “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me.” John 6:38. “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:8. Do we learn obedience from what we suffer? Does our suffering draw us closer to the One who suffered for us? Thanks Sheryl! I just finished Will Graham’s devotion for Easter! It was very good. It truly made you think of all the details leading up to the cross of Christ on our behalf. ✝️

    • Thank you for your comment, Kim. I especially appreciate your questions: Do we learn obedience from what we suffer? Does our suffering draw us closer to the One who suffered for us?
(Were they from Will Graham’s devotion?)
      Something to really think about!
