Are Your Thoughts Keeping You Awake? — 11 Comments

  1. Especially at night, when my thoughts spiral out of control with the regrets and worries of the day, recalling the Bible passages I’ve meditated on that day is often the only thing that helps me regain peace and have a better night’s sleep.

  2. I often find my time of reading the Bible just doing it kind if mechanically without really focusing on it and meditating on it.
Thanks for pointing this out in today’s message.

    • Hi, Sandra! I get it. It’s so easy to read God’s Word like we do a magazine – without realizing its beauty, holiness and depth.
AND thank you again for stopping by!

  3. Sheryl I am a work in progress as I have said in the past. I have enjoyed reading and meditating the psalms. You know I am severing God in choir. I was guilty of letting stress and anxiety take control of me but,one day I had my radio on and,I heard the song Psalm 23 Still Waters and it became one of my favorite ways to be reminded God is always by my side.

  4. Sometimes, I need to remind myself when I become overwhelmed that the Lord is my peace and I find it all through scripture! “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8. “Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 58:14. Thanks Sheryl! ✝️
