Do We Take Owning A Bible For Granted? — 9 Comments

  1. What would happen if, especially during this Christmas season, we valued God’s wisdom (understanding) as much as we value silver or hidden treasure?

  2. We have several translations of the Bible in our home. I pray that when we read each one, we draw closer to God. 🙂 What a blessing to share the Word of God with others. 🙂

    • Hello, Melissa! It’s SO nice to see you again.
Amen!! May we draw closer to God every time we spend time in His Word. Sharing God’s Word with others brings us joy—and joy to the lives of those we share Christ with.
Thanks for stopping by again, Melissa!

  3. Just the very thought of my Bible being taken away from me makes me upset! I’ll be honest that it is easy to be caught up in all the hoopla of Christmas and forgetting about our focus, Jesus! I’ve been reading the book of Luke, but I’m behind to be finished by Christmas! “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:24. I need to catch up! Thanks for reminding us what’s important Sheryl!

    • You are quite welcome, Kim. To be clear, I’m writing to myself as well!
Thank you for stopping by. I always appreciate it.

  4. Good morning Sheryl! I am doing better on reading God’s word daily. I am not always perfect with it,but,I am a work in progress. I have been trying to write verses in a flip book I received from a friend for myself and, one of our adult daughters. She is open to God’s word but, doesn’t like to carry a Bible on trips for fear of losing it. So when a friend gave out these booklets to us. She had made i asked her for one for Dorothy. I hope to have it ready to give to her when we see each other again for a visit.

      • Sheryl Please cover Dorothy and my other 2 daughters in prayers. I know God is working in all their lives. Even though the other two daughters may not see it yet. Thank you.
