It’s Just Plain Rude to Be Rude

Rudeness can undermine relationships at work, in our community, in our churches – and, most often, in our homes. Just as the temperature drops when a cold front moves into our area, so does the warmth of a relationship – dropping degree by degree – when we practice rudeness. If we want to rekindle the flames, we must stop excusing our offensive behavior.

When your loved one is dealing with depression

God knows we’re not equipped to shoulder anxieties, worries and concerns – our own or anybody else’s. We can cast (or throw) whatever causes us distress onto His huge shoulders. Whenever we try to do anything (including helping someone in trouble) or bear anything (including depression) in our own strength, we become physically and emotionally drained. Then, rather than experiencing a breakthrough, we end up discouraged and worse off.

If you desire to grow sound roots that will produce a good outcome, dwell in (and rest on) God’s Word. His Holy Spirit will keep you strong and steadfast, even when you’re losing steam. As we yield ourselves to Him, our heavenly Father is able to prosper and mature our labor – including endeavors we’ve yet to experience – exactly on time, in its season.
