When Trusting God Is Hard — 5 Comments

  1. Trust in the Lord! “In You our fathers trusted; they trusted and You delivered them.” Psalm 22:4. “O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield.” Psalm 115:9. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. The Lord loves us so much! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. Thanks for sharing your devotion, Sheryl. Even for us Christians it’s sometimes hard to understand God’s ways in this broken world where we now live! ✝️

    • True. So true, Kim. Which makes it all the more important that we stay in God’s Word–and in fellowship with believers–so we don’t grow weary.
Thank you for stopping by. I always appreciate your comments and relevant Bible verses!

  2. I love this blog post! You’re being down to the nitty-gritty parts of faith and the reasons we find out so challenging. I love this! No fluff. True love.
    Thank you, Princess!!! ❤️

How can you pray for me? I’m facing a difficult challenge at the moment. I had to get a new laptop and they moved the information from the old laptop to the new one. Sadly, it’s beginning to look like they’ve lost most of my writing. Many, many stories, several novels, etc…. Pray that gods peace prevails in me heart through all of this. We’re talking about losing decades worth of writing that were supposedly all backed up to some mysterious cloud. Thank you.

    • Oh no, Helen. As a fellow writer, I truly understand how frustrating and heartbreaking this must be. I’ve often wondered how I would handle this very situation myself.

I’m praying that every one of your manuscripts can be recovered. And if, in the worst‑case scenario, that doesn’t happen, may God’s peace guard your heart and mind. May He give you fresh ideas, renewed creativity, and new writing projects that surpass even the ones you’ve lost.
