We often focus on those who have been victims of abortion – innocent babies, of course, and their mothers. But we rarely hear about how this tragedy affects dads. These “forgotten fathers” often bottle up their emotions, including grief, depression, anger and guilt – all of which can escalate to self-destructive behavior if they don’t seek counseling.

Not even the worst moment. When our wretched, putrid sins was placed on Jesus, God (the Father), turned His face away. “My God, my God,” Jesus cried in agony, “why have you forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34 ESV). We’ll never know how incredibly alone He felt at that moment.

Rather than allowing the devil to deceive us, we must grasp what Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross means for us – for you – personally. Spending time reading and meditating on Romans 6 and 8 will help us grow in our understanding. Don’t rush through. Spend as much time as it takes to really dig in.
